Grain Elevators Division

Embrun Co-op Grain Elevators Division opened September 24th, 1972 and has undergone improvements and expansions ever since. Most recently we announced a partnership with Great Lakes Grain.

Co-operatively owned by farmers, Great Lakes Grain is a major player in Ontario grain marketing.

This partnership enables Embrun Co-op and Great Lakes Grain to add value to the products and services we offer our clients by being more competitive, more technologically advanced, and by facilitating better planning.

Today, our 16 silos have a total storage capacity of almost 24,000 tons for corn, soy, and barley. We also have two dryers with a total drying capacity of 60 tons per hour.

service at the Grain Elevators

At the Embrun Co-op Grain Elevators, wet product (maximum humidity acceptable is 35%) is delivered by the farmer or picked up and transported by Co-op operated trucks. As needed, crops are then scaled, dried, cooled, and returned to the producer for sale. Alternatively, they may also be purchased by the GLG or the Co-op for resale and distribution.

Embrun Co-op Grain Elevator Division participates in Agricorp’s Grain Financial Protection Program.

Embrun Co-op Grain Elevator offers the following services;

  • Sale
  • Drying

Sydney lemoyre

Growing up in Navan, Ontario, Sydney discovered a passion for agriculture early on through volunteering, working on local farms, and participating in 4-H clubs. Though not from a farming family, the agricultural community quickly became like family, inspiring a lifelong commitment to the industry.

Sydney pursued a diploma in Agricultural Management with a major in Agricommerce at Olds College of Agriculture and Technology, excelling in communications, marketing, crop production, and ag economics. After joining Embrun Co-op as an operator during the busy spring season,  Sydney gained valuable hands-on experience supporting local farmers during planting.
