At Embrun Co-op, we take pride in our commitment to social responsibility, actively engaging with local and regional partners. Our donation and sponsorship program is dedicated to supporting initiatives in the areas of youth events, addressing the needs of the less fortunate, enhancing environmental efforts, and ensuring the ongoing sustainability of agriculture.

Engagement

Through our dedicated Board of Directors, Embrun Co-op is wholeheartedly committed to contributing to projects that matter to our members, clients, employees, and the community. We pledge to support the tireless efforts of volunteers who strive to make a positive impact within our community and contribute to making the world a better place.

Targeted values

  • Youth - We aim to supply youth with cultural and sporting events that foster their training, talent development, pride, leadership abilities, and confidence.
  • The Less Fortunate - We actively support fundraisers aimed at improving the well-being of the less fortunate and those in distress, providing them with the encouragement they need.
  • Environment - Our commitment extends to preventing natural disasters and contributing to environmental embellishment through diversity and conservation.
  • Agriculture - We are dedicated to ensuring the continuity of agriculture through promotional programs and support for the current and next generation of farmers.

Eligibility

Embrun Co-op may consider supporting:

  • Canadian not-for-profit organizations for projects within Canada, particularly in the areas where we operate.
  • Projects that align with our values of social and environmental responsibility.
  • Events addressing community needs.
  • Events directly impacting the current and next generation of farmers and/or agricultural continuity and stability.
  • Activities with projected results supporting health and healthcare research.

We recommend submitting your request well in advance to ensure a response by the date of your event/project. Responses will be communicated within four (4) weeks.

Embrun Co-op is committed to fostering education and supporting our community's future leaders. Each year, we proudly contribute an additional $2250 in scholarships, empowering and encouraging local individuals to pursue their academic aspirations.

Embrun Co-op Scholarship for Agricultural Succession

Embrun Co-op proudly offers a $1000 scholarship to honor and support a dedicated young producer who demonstrates exceptional motivation and commitment to the success of Ontario farms. This initiative celebrates and invests in the passion for agriculture within our community.

SELECTION CRITERIA

To be eligible for this scholarship, the student must:

  • Be enrolled in a post-secondary program
  • Be interested and motivated in the success of Ontario farms
  • Demonstrate a passion for agriculture
  • Commit to being present to accept the award in mid-July at a BBQ.
  • Be a resident of Ontario

At Embrun Co-op, we believe in investing in the future of our employees. Our Post-Secondary Studies Scholarship offers three valuable prizes to assist with the costs of higher education: $1000, $750, and $500.

SELECTION CRITERIA

To be eligible for this scholarship, the student must:

  • Have earned an Ontario Secondary School Diploma and be enrolled in post-secondary education.
  • Have chosen to pursue studies related to an activity of Embrun Co-op - either administrative, agricultural, commercial, or energy.
  • Have been employed by Co-op for at least 90 cumulative days at the time of application.
  • Work an average of 15 hours per week or more.
  • Commit to being present to accept the award in mid-July at a BBQ.

Supporting 4-H Associations

Embrun Co-op is thrilled to contribute to the growth and development of local 4-H Associations in our areas of operation. We are dedicated to fostering agricultural leadership and education, and as part of this commitment, we proudly donate $500 yearly to each 4-H Association in our community.

Leadership Awards: In addition to our financial support, Embrun Co-op sponsors the Embrun Co-op Leadership Awards for each agricultural club within these associations. These awards aim to recognize and encourage outstanding leadership qualities among the youth in our community.

We believe in the power of youth leadership and are excited to partner with 4-H Associations to empower the next generation of agricultural leaders. Embrun Co-op is committed to making a positive impact on the future of agriculture through these meaningful contributions.
